Grrr no heat

So I woke up this morning to my husband trying to fix the boiler. (This was 6AM!) We called our oil company, they took our info and said a tech will call us back. No call at 8AM, so we called back. They said they are 'really busy'. It's now almost noon, and they STILL havent called back yet!

I'm so mad - I can understand if you are busy and wont get here until later today (tomorrow?) but at least call back to give me some sort of time and info so I know that you know that we exist and that the answering service isnt throwing our messages away.

Why do I feel that htey always say they are 'really busy' when someone calls back to find out a status.....

OK, rant over I feel better, well at least inside I do, I'm still freeeeeeeeeeeezing!

you should turn on a few of your sinks a little bit so your pipes don't freeze. Hope they get there soonChat Icon

Thanks - I just called back for the 3rd time, and they finally got them to call me back.

Of course, oil company said that this is the first page they've gotten for our situation, and he called the answering service and they said that we've never called before.

Ummmm yeah I'd know if I was on the phone.

I hate the runaround. Needless to say, they will be here 'sometime today' and of course I could not get a time, or anyone's direct number. Although I guess I could always *69 Chat Icon

Re: Grrr no heat

I can relate. Our oil burner has been going out every night and we have had someone here EVERY SINGLE DAY this week!!!! We have to replace the coil on the burner and the only appointment we could get is next Friday. In the meanwhile, we call the company every morning to tell them that someone has to come restart it (emergency service) - we also tell them that until it gets fixed, someone is going to have to come out everyday.

Do you think they could find an appointment time sooner? nope-too busy!!! Thankfully, this stuff is covered under our contract, but you would think, in order to save themselves money, they would just fix the darn thing!

What company do you use? I have excellent service and they are usually there (and they are always busy too) within a few hours.

I hope you got it fixed before this freezing weather so that your pipes don't freeze Chat Icon
