Growth sonos

So talk to me about growth sonograms. My doctor is sending me for one Thursday because the baby is measuring ahead. That coupled with the large weight gain is making me concerned about GD. Can anyone share experience with this? Ill be 26 weeks on Friday. Thanks!

Its just a regular sono and they will measure the baby and tell you how many pounds your little one is. I had one on Fri because my dr thought the baby was measuring small and because of my lack of weight gain. Turned out baby is measuring 3lbs 2ozs which is the 67th percentile. She feels smaller because she likes to sleep in a ball. Good luck.

I actually just got back from mine! I've been going for growth sonos since 12 weeks. It's exactly what the pp said, they measure the baby. They also take a look at all the developing organs and take pics for the doctors to look at. Good luck!

Does it take a long time? I have serious anxiety during sonos especially now that I feel something is wrong!

First a sono tech comes in, does the scan then the doctor comes in. Takes a little longer than a reg sono appt. but not too much longer. You should be in and out of there within 30-40 mins
