Grey's, Sopranos Score Emmy Nominations
Grey's Anatomy is in the race for top TV drama at the 59th annual Emmy Awards, with four of its stars (T.R. Knight, Sandra Oh, Chandra Wilson and Katherine Heigl) scoring supporting acting nods, it was announced Thursday morning.
As best dramatic series, besides Grey's, the nominees are Boston Legal, Heroes, House and The Sopranos, which ended its series run with 15 nominations, including two for stars James Gandolfini and Edie Falco.
In the race for Outstanding Comedy Series, the nominees are Entourage, The Office, 30 Rock, Two and a Half Men and Ugly Betty, which followed right behind the The Sopranos in total nominations, picking up 11. (The top nominee is HBO's made-for-TV movie Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, with 17.)
Here's a rundown of who's up for what:
The Drama Nominees... The other contenders for leading male actor in a drama series are Hugh Laurie in House, Denis Leary in Rescue Me, James Spader in Boston Legal and Kiefer Sutherland in 24.
Leading actresses in a drama, in addition to Falco, are Patricia Arquette (Medium), Minnie Driver (The Riches), Sally Field (Brothers and Sisters), Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) and Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer).
As for the Comedies... Lead actress nominees are Tina Fey (30 Rock), America Ferrara (Ugly Betty), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (The New Adventures of Old Christine), Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives) and Mary-Louise Parker for Weeds.
Among the men, it's Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Steve Carell (The Office), Ricky Gervais (Extras), Tony Shalhoub (Monk) and the newly engaged Charlie Sheen (Two and Half Men).
The Emmys will be broadcast live on FOX Sunday, Sept. 16.

Drama- The Sopranos Comedy- Ugly Betty leading male actor in a drama series- James Gandolfin Leading actresses in a drama- Edie Falco Lead actress comedy- Felicity Huffman Lead actor nominees- Steve Carell
I would like to see Grey's win, but I know they more than likely won't
