Grey Carpeting in Living room....
So I knwo i am jumping ahead here but ths one house we are looking at has grey carpetingin teh living oom. I dont know how much money we will have right away for new carpeting. Besides black what color couces and walls woudl go with grey carpeting.
One house is a light grey and one hosue looks like its mroe of a darker grey.

Grey is awesome because just about anything goes with it. I put grey carpet upstairs in our house, so whenever DC want to change the color of their rooms, from pink and blue to anything from black to camo to rainbow, the grey will still work with it.

you could do almost any color couch with a grey carpet - it's very neutral

My favorite clothing combination is grey, chocolate brown and camel. I would go for a chocolate colored sofa and do a camel or tan on the walls.

its funny you said this thats is the couch and wall colors I want but wasn't sure how grey would play in to that mix.
