Great Wolf Lodge Q - re swimsuits
Anyone been there with a 3 or almost 4 year old? Or going with one? My DD is almost 4 and I saw on their website that 4 and under needs to wear a swim diaper. Really? She's been toilet trained for 1 1/2 years. Do I really need to get her swim diapers? And how does she wear it? I always used the washable diaper suit - I just cannot see it. A 4 year old is going to walk around with a disposible swim diaper under her bathing suit??

In NYS children under 4 who are not potty trained need them so I would ASSUME it would be the same. I amnot putting a wim diaper on Jeremy (hes 3)

But she is potty trained  I guess I'll have some for the baby so I can always put one on her if I need to but it seems silly. I dont want to swim with poop like the next person but she is PT'd. Thanks Karen. Too bad we are not going the same days

I wouldn't even think 2x about it since she is potty trained. I think they use 4 as a general rule of thumb since some kids don't have any interest in it at all until around 4. I guess saying 5 is just crazyness Maybe we will like it and stay

DS was 3 and trained last time we were there, I did not put a swim diaper on him.
I was a little nervous though even though he never has accidents the whole excitement of the water park I was afraid he'd "forget" to tell me he had to go, but he didn't.
Let me tell you those swim diapers do nothing, everytime I have been there the pool was cleared and shocked at one point or another.
Run when you see the hazmat baggies come out!

I don't have the answer to that question however I do know that any child that is wearing a swim diaper has to have a bathing suit over it. I was there last yr and I originally had my 2yr old in a swim diaper since he does not like his clothes wet and the life guard told me he would not be aloud in the water unless I put shorts over it. Luckily my son adjusted with his clothes getting wet with in 15mins.
That being said since they have to wear something over it how would they really know if your dd doesn't have one on

I'm not putting one on Mallory (she's 3).. she's been potty trained for a long time now.. there's no way she would even let me put one on her I got Pampers swim diapers to go on underneath Addisons bathing suits (she's only 1)

I think with a boy it's easier since their bathing suits are usually shorts. But with DD, her bathing suit would obviously show or not show a lumpy soggy swim diaper in it.
Thank you for the responses. I am not going to plan on putting one on her. I was more concerned if they are sizing up kids and questioning their ages...she doesn't look 5 and the site said 4 and under, not under 4. But it sounds like we will be fine. I hate the swimmies anyway, I prefer the washable suit with the elastic terry cloth lined diaper inside. ITA with the comment about the swimmies not doing anything, at least the washable ones would contain it a bit. I've been lucky enough to not have to deal with floating pool poops (yet)

I was hoping it was one of those "they block out dates" but it really isnt so (Ive heard this is done with other vacation places).. wishful thinking

I tried it WITHOUT the promo codes and the dates are available. I guess they just allocated a certain amount of rooms towards the promo. I knew it !
