Great Wolf Lodge 1st Timer

We need to get out of Dodge so we booked a weekend at GWL in PA

We've never been so I welcome any experiences, tips, or anything you want to share about the place.

Specfically, is that Magicquest thing worth the extra $$$.

Also, all the reviews say the food is $$ and not so great. What is nearby that you would recommend?

how old are your kids?

my kids were not that into the magiquest. we bought it the first time we went and they hardly played it so we didn't buy it the second time and they never asked for it.

the food is not good, lo. but my son loves the buffet for some reason so we did that one night. we ate lunch at Big Daddy BBQ one time, its only a few minutes away. We also ate at Barley Creek Brewing Co which was good.

def bring drinks, snacks and breakfast for the room. There is a fridge and microwave.

Check in takes a while during peak time. But you are free to use the park before your room is ready. Pack swimsuits and towels separately so you can leave lugguage in the car and use the water park while you wait for your room (once you check in they will text you when your room is ready)

Magiquest was cute but I would wait for the kids to ask for it.

We ate there. So I don't have advice on restaurants.
