Granite thickness?
what thickness are you supposed to buy? 1.25, or 1.50, does it matter?

I believe 1 1/4" is standard. Some place will try to sell one inch or less and mount it on plywood for strength. I'd go with the 1 1/4".

I believe ours is 1 1/4 also. You want the strength of that thickness. Shop around and go to places that you can pick your own slab if you want. There are a lot of places on the island.  GL.
So what color are you thinking about getting? Do tell.
