Grandparents day?
I know Mothers Day and Fathers Day. I have never heard of Grandparents day. I buy gifts for my parents and IL's on those respective days from my son. Now DH is telling me we have to get them something for Grandparents day 
Am I living under a rock that I dont know this "holiday"

When I was in Elementary school the class would have the grandparents come to our class for some sort of activity.
I usually just give a card on Grandparents Day though and gifts on mothers day and fathers day. thats just me though.

I've heard of it and it seems kind of silly to have that holiday. Not that I don't appreciate my son's grandparents. It's just that it makes no sense to have that holiday... I mean what is Mother's Day and Father's Day for? To me those are the bigger holidays and That includes the Grandparents too and they all get gifts from my son on those holidays...
I probably won't get anything for the grandparents on Grandparents day. My parents (who are old school italian) don't even know about it and my IL's don't really care about it and I don't even think they know about it. I know my FIL doesn't...

Exactly...it seems to excessive to me.

 No but you do have get a card for "great grandparents day" Because that is the next logical holiday that should come after Grandparents day...

I have always sent my grandparents a card on Grandparent's Day.
We don't make a big deal about it, but we might now that we have the first grandchild for both of our families!

I usually just send them cards from the kids. This year my mom is getting a gift since there is something she needs but can't afford and won't let us buy it for her, so now we can use the gift excuse.

I actually did the same thing last year only because it was their first with Matthew. Maybe I will just make them a card or a collage and print it out...A little something..

I was in Hallmark the other day and saw that they had a section for Grandparents Day. That was the first I heard of it though.

Not a parent, but we celebrate Grandparents Day with David's grandmother. We do this instead of Mother's Day with her - this way we don't have to worry about having to go see her specifically on Mother's Day and we can see our respective mother's instead. Plus, it gives her a special day and us an excuse to take her to brunch.
