Graco MySize vs. Britax Marathon
Any feedback on either?
Rear facing, middle position in an explorer. We need something that the angle can be adjusted. We have a clek fllo that we just moved into the car and it leans so freaking far back that even I'm squished in the front (I'm 5'1).
I like britax (we have also an advocate) but the graco is so much cheaper and since the clek was $400 and now basically unusable, I'm car seat poor over here.

Re: Graco MySize vs. Britax Marathon
I have an edge and my parents an explorer.... I didn’t like the Graco my size that I got for my parents car. The buckle was sooo hard to unlock. It was actually recalled and even the replacement was hard. Overall, the seat just felt very junky to me, and it was really hard to pull the tightening strap through as well. The strap mechanisms overall were just such a miserable experience- never again a Graco for us. We ended up only using it for a little while and replaced with roundabout.
I had a britax boulevard (similar to marathon) that I LOVED but rear-facing, getting a correct angle is hard. Dh and his brother had to totally smush the back seat of the car (I mean major muscle work), or we would have had to have used rolled up towels as per the directions, which I didn’t love the idea of. For dd2, we went with the Chicco nextfit solely due to the angle issue. I really like the britax, but achieving the correct angle rear-facing was a dealbreaker to me.
I hope this info is helpful.

Graco MySize vs. Britax Marathon
Thank you! We were able to get a good angle on the advocate, but she's almost 2.5 so she doesn't have to be too reclined.
I think we might bite the bullet and get another britax. I just realized the boulevard is only $20 more than the marathon we'll probably go with that.
It just makes me sick, $400 for the clek and its going to sit in the garage.

I didn't like the graco my size 70 but we have a contender now and really like that one. It's not a giant seat so it may work for you but it's not adjustable. The base has one setting for rf and one for ff.

Re: Graco MySize vs. Britax Marathon
If you’re used to the “feel” of a britax, my gut is that the Graco will feel very different to you, which I think is a large reason for why I never felt like dd was secure in it. Not that it was a bad seat, it just felt sooo differently made and I couldn’t wrap my head around it (in addition to the legit strap issues). We went back to a britax for the 5-point booster even after the Chicco, which I like, I still just prefer the feel of the britax. Once you’re used to something, it’s hard to change.

Re: Graco MySize vs. Britax Marathon
I had a Marathon for my older two, and just got a new Marathon for DD. She is rear facing, and there was no problem with the angle in my Honda Pilot. I prefer Britax. I got a good deal on Albee Baby.com.
