I'm so happy for you. I just have a question. My doc. didn't really say it was a choice, he just said make the appointment for an ultrascreen so we did. SHould I reconsider?? Why did you decide on your choice to not get an ultrascreen?

My Dr. never brought it up, I asked him about it, and he gave us the option! Basically he said it's a very new test, and the AFP tests for both of the things (Downs and Trisomy 18) and more, so he felt no reason. They didn't have it when I was pregnant with my son granted that was 10 years ago, and he's just fine so I felt that if it was that important he would have said you have no choice!! I would ask him/her if they feel it is absolutely necessary, and what are your options! Basically IMO your just getting another sono!!! Good Luck!

You ALWAYS have a choice. My Dr. told me that all tests are up to me. I could have opted out of them.
