Got pulled over for the first time today - help!
I got pulled over for the first time ever this morning.  I made a right on red without realizing it.
The cop was so nice and reduced the ticket to "failure to obey a traffic sign" and I have to go to the village court to talk to the judge.
I have no idea what this will entail - any thoughts? When I go to the court, what do I tell them? There was no option to mail the ticket in and no fine listed, the officer said I had to go to the building in person.
I'm so mad at myself. I'm in that area all the time and I know that there's no right on red allowed there. I guess I was jut spacing out this morning. 
So what do I do when I get to the court?
(sorry if this is a silly question - I've just never had to do anything like this before )

After looking at the ticket again - there IS a court date listed - July 8.  I'm assuming I just shoe up on that date and time listed?

try to postpone the courtdate. and then when they re-schedule and you show up....they will most likely reduce the fine/points and if you're really lucky, the cop won't show and it'll be dismissed.

There's no court date listed, though... The cop just said to go to the court and talk to the judge. He already reduced it from what he should have given me and said that there would be no points on the license.

that's weird. I'm not familiar with any traffic ticket that you don't either have to mail in with a plea or get assigned a specific court date to show up. Sorry. Wish I could be of more help.

sounds like she got pulled over in a town that has their own police dept...they can make there own rules about fee's, apperences, etc..
