Got A Shiny New MacBook ...
for my birthday! 
I haven't had a Mac since 2001.
Can anyone point me in the right direction ... looking for tutorials, tips & tricks, etc. so I can learn how to get more out of it.
I used to have this HUGE Mac Bible book, but now that there's so much info available online I'm not sure its worth buying a book.

Nice... Is this your first Mac?
I guess the first time I used a Mac was in Elementary School ... the Apple IIe 
I used to have a Mac desktop a few years ago ... but DH convinced me to get rid of it in 2001.
He knows how sad I've been without it, and replaced it with a MacBook!!!

DH also has MacBook. I am using it now because my hard drive to my computer went.  So I am with you with figuring out everything. It has great features and you can do alot to pictures, make movies, and music. But I do love it better than my computer I must say.
