Goody Bag suggestions for 2nd bday
I am not a big fan of goody bags but I know I need to have them. I am just looking for alternative ideas to give out for DS 2nd birthday? Thanks!

Re: Goody Bag suggestions for 2nd bday
I have lots of extra random fabrics from projects here and there so I was thinking of making crayon rolls for DS' 2nd b'day this summer, to be green and use what I have and because they are cute and fun. I know some moms here have bought them from etsy sellers as favors. Not sure how much they go for or how much you're looking to spend.
If you're crafty, they seem simple enough to make. If you're not but know someone who can sew, there are lots of steps you can do to help like ironing and cutting and pinning.

Last year I just gave the kids special cups with crazy straws. Got a paint marker and wrote their names on it and called it a day! You could always check oriental trading. Do you have a theme?

A friend just did one and she put in a coloring book, crayons, and a 3 CD set of childrens songs....the boys got an airplane and the girls got a princes tiara in theirs.... You can check out Oriental Trading for ideas or even StarTrack in Farmingdale.

Re: Goody Bag suggestions for 2nd bday
I did personalized dry erase boards instead of goody bags for DS' 1st birthday and for his 2nd birthday, I got beach towels from Target (for like $5 each).
I'm not a goody bag fan either.
Oh and we had a pinata - so I bought gift bags for that.

My girl friend gave each child a Little Golden Book. It was a great idea and the parents and kids both LOVED it. She made a label and put it in the inside cover.

Re: Goody Bag suggestions for 2nd bday
I am a teacher so I get scholastic. I ordered a bunch of 1 dollar scholastic books and put those in a bag with a few other things (teddy grahams) - This was for the first b/day party. THe second I did regular goody bags :)
