Good Sam- Lamaze Class
Has anyone taken this at Good Sam before? I called today to find out more information and I was transfered over to a Dept but I never have received a phone call back yet. I read that it's $125 per couple and for 5 classes! I don't even think I will make 5 classes. MY ob office is offering it this Saturday one day only from 10-5 so I am wondering if I should just take that instead! I hate when people don't call you back and I'm eager to find out more information. Like what is covered besides the reg breathing exercises.

We took the class at Good Sam and it was one saturday all day. They offer the evening classes weekly and then one Saturday class per month!

I'm surprised they haven't called u back bc I've called three times, left a message and always received a call back the next day. I thew out their direct number... But make sure ur calling the perinatal office and her name was Karen I believe.
I would say the class was informative and yes it was annoying to go 5 weeks... But I would do it again... The lady who did it (Jean) was really nice and made the class interesting.

WASTEOF TIME. IMO!
I took it and could have spent the time getting things ready at home. If you really want info watch videos at home.
THe day of none of that info helped me.
Oh and the breathign part was all of about 5 mins of an all day class.

I have to agree..especially since my OBGYN looked at me like I was nuts when i started doing the breathing during pushing. He was like, "Don't do that." lol

I have to agree..especially since my OBGYN looked at me like I was nuts when i started doing the breathing during pushing. He was like, "Don't do that." lol

I finally got a call back early this morning from Karen. They have a class next weekend we can take. My dr did recommend it but my dh has heard if we don't take this class good Sam will not let him in the room! Never heard of that!!! Anyone else?

No not the lamaze class. They say that about the csection class but I spoke to my Dr about it and he said its the Drs choice who is int he room and would never ask a dad if they took any kind of class

Allot of people tell me it's a waste of time. I tell DH there is no way they can not let you in the room..it's the Dr's call!!! Not the hospital!!!
