Good Sam cervidil induction
I'd love to hear from anyone who has had a recent induction experience at Good Sam...I'm being induced there soon (Cervidil induction) and I'm so curious what to expect at the hospital...
will I be in a private room for the whole induction period? (my OB warned me that the induction could take a day or two). Is there a recliner or something provided for DH to sleep on? (we are going in for the induction at night). Will I be allowed to eat at all during the induction? Will people besides DH (my parents) be allowed to visit with me during the induction waiting period?
TIA to anyone who can share their experience with me!

Re: Good Sam cervidil induction
I had a cervidil induction at Good Sam last August. Here is my story...
will I be in a private room for the whole induction period? -Yes, and it has a private bathroom
Is there a recliner or something provided for DH to sleep on? -No. There was just a chair, no recliner. It was a slow, slow night (I also had it in overnight) so they wheeled in a bed for DH to sleep in. I thought that was really nice of them.
Will I be allowed to eat at all during the induction? I don't think I was allowed to eat but I could be wrong.
Will people besides DH (my parents) be allowed to visit with me during the induction waiting period? I got the cervidil at 9:30pm and by 10 I started having contractions every half hour. They were so painful. Around 2am, I felt bad for DH that he couldn't get any sleep because I was crying the whole time so I told him to call him mom to come down (who was going to be in the delivery room with us anyway) so that he could take a nap and that she could be there with me. I only needed one round of cervidil before they started the pitocin. They put the pitocin in around 10am and by 11:30 I think I got the epidural. After the epidural I told my friends and family that they could come up and visit. They let whoever I wanted come up but then the heartrate of the baby started to drop and they threw everyone out expect DH and MIL.
Hope that helps. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Private room, YES!!
Recliner, YES!! But DH didn't spend the night since I wanted him to get a good night's sleep and was not in active labor.
I went in on Tuesday at 8am and didn't deliver until Thursday just after midnight. 2 rounds of Cervidil then Pitocin. Ended in a section.
I was allowed to eat in between the 2 Cervidil doses, he gave me an hour in between doses. That can change though if you are closer to being in active labor.
Anyone YOU allow to visit you can. They will come in and tell you who is there and ask if you want them in.
GL!!
