Going to court tomorrow
For a speeding ticket, hopefully the cop doesn't show up! Wish me luck!!!

Good luck.
However, they do get notices to appear in court when tickets are being fought. DH is a cop and he does..most of the time.

If it was in NYC, any of the 5 boros, the cop will show. The only way the cop won't show is if you called in a favor from a family member or two who happens to be on the force. Good Luck!

This is true. In the city the cop HAS to show. He gets notified of a court apperance and if he doesn't show it's equivilant to him not showing up for work- and he would get in trouble.
Otherwise- why would they show up at all? it's not like the LIKE going to court...

.Well I'm back from court. The judge told me I presented a good case, so here I think I have it in the bag and he slaps with a guilty charge and $230 later might I add. The cop did show he had about 9 cases while I was in there, I guess he is a ticket happy cop.
