"Going rate" for baptism/christening
Since we are on a themed Friday it seems..........I have two coming up in August.
Both are for pretty good friends.
When DS had his I think we got between $50.00-$100.00 on average. More from family though.

I usually give $100- I dont know if thats good or bad
when it was dh's goddaughter- we gave a diamond cross and $250 savings bond

family always gets more, especially if chosen as a Godparent. $100 is the going rate for others.

Just had DS baptized.
Most gave $50- others $75.
Family gave $100-300

on average DS received $50-$100 savings bonds (so I guess the amount spent by gift giver was $25-$50)

Usually $50-$100. For DH's Goddaughter we gave $200 a bracelet and a cross.
