Re: going into a hospital
I was told not to go visit someone that was in the hospital just to be on the safe side.

Re: going into a hospital
Unless they have something contagious or they are on some kind of isolation precautions there shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you wash your hands before and after you visit.
ETA: Just wanted to add I'm a nurse and work in a hospital. If a pregnant women can work as a nurse why can't she just visit a patient in the hospital?

Re: going into a hospital
My dad has been in and out of the hospital throughout my pregnancy and I visited him as often as I could. I agree with the previous poster. . . . pregnant nurses continue to work in hospitals . . . . .

I agree- I worked in a hospital my whole first trimester and even worked with contact precaution patients. My doctor never raised an eyebrow.
Also, I went to visit my SIL in the hospital last week....

Re: going into a hospital
I spent 5 days in the hospital when DH was going through his surgery.
I was just careful to wash my hands and use the sanitizing stations they had in the halls.
