Going from Cablevision to Verizon Fios

We have the tripple play with Cablevision. TV, Intenet and phone.

We are about to convert to Verizon.

We are so fed up with Cablevision.

Could you share your experience if you converted for the same services we have.

my parents switched and LOVE Fios! they didn't have the triple play, but they get SO much more now for less $

When DH and I bought our house and moved to Suffolk, we went for the Optimum Triple Play [FiOS wasn't available.] From the start, we had problems with the phone, internet and a handful of times, cable. It was a nightmare. After a few months, FiOS was available so we switched!! It has been fantastic ever since! I told the CS Rep at Optimum, that even if they told me that I would get the Triple Play FREE for the next 10 years, I would not take it!!! FiOS all the way!! Fast internet speed, no problems with the phone, great cable picture with free HD! And I got a free flat screen TV for signing up! [That was their promotion at the time.] You'll love it!!

We switched a month or so ago.

I love the FIOS TV! The only thing I miss from Cablevision are some of the features they had for the phone that were included in the triple play.

We switched and Love Fios.
Our internet is faster, the TV doesnt glitch anymore, we rarely use the housephone so I cant really say anything about that. The reps there are pretty nice, we only lost out internet once but they had it up and running within 5 minutes

I hate the FIOS dvr.. it's not nearly as user friendly as IO's dvr. It's annoying to record, to view, and to schedule.

I have FIOS and love it!!!!!!!

I LOVE my multiroom DVR, I record in the bedroom and watch my shows in other rooms of the house!!!!

I liked the cablevision services (hated the company itsefl!) but I LOVE my FIOS!!!!!

I switched from Fios to Cable and I regret it every day. Our cable rep lied to us and told us our 2nd box was free and now they are charging us!!!

I hate that the phone doesn't work when the power goes out. With Fios, if we lost power, we still had a phone. Granted, we have cells but what if they aren't charged???

ALSO, and the biggest reason I hate cable is.....we had to buy a router to hook up our laptop! Verizon's router is built into the modem so we didn't need to buy one. The cable rep never told us this!!! So, we had to spend all the money we saved on the router.

I'd love to switch back but, we had to pay cable $40 to keep our phone number and I think we'd have to pay Verizon $40 to keep it if we switch back. At first, the $40 wasn't a big deal b/c of the savings but the $40 for the number plus the cost of the router and this little switch to cable has cost us a fortuen

Sorry about the long vent but, I loved Fios. Wish we never switched.

i LOVE Fios.. and i would never switch back to Cablevision

i never have any problems with verizon and i love all the channels they offer and the new channel lineup .. its great!

I CAN'T WAIT until Fios is in my neighborhood! I have directv, which I love, but not fond of the DSL internet and I HATE Cablevision.
