Mine might have been more comfortable if it was internal. They were pressing on some spots on my belly that were tender. I would have done better if I was not nauseous to start.

same here! External, pee, then internal and then a quick finger prick.

I had mine today and they did is external then internal just to see. It wasn't bad except for the pressure on your belly sort of hurts after awhile. It actually was very exciting and my baby was moving all over the place. It was so cute! At my dr office they tell you right away what they see on the sono. I have a partial placenta previa which he said in most cases (90%) will resolve on it's own. So no Sex for me!
