Going away next weekend...
DH and I are going away with some friends next weekend and we are leaving Lilly with my parents. I am a nervous wreck already. I know that she will be fine, but she's kind of delicate (have you seen her legs? they're like toothpicks! ). She likes to get into things in their yard and I'm so afraid that they won't watch her as well as they should. We don't want to kennel her for various personal reasons. I'm also worried about the sleeping arrangements - she always sleeps in the bed with us, and my parents won't have them in her bed (nor would I expect that). She'll be sleeping in her crate and I'm worried about her barking all night. They have a Sheltie that Lilly likes to roughhouse with. She also likes to eat his food, which doesn't agree with her little belly.
I'm going to leave a detailed list of instructions, my vet's name and number (even though in case of anything they would bring her to their own vet), I'm going to get her a new tag with my parent's information on it (address and phone #), I'll bring her favorite toys and her snuggle blanket. Is there anything else I should do?
I probably sound like a lunatic, but she's such a HUGE part of our lives and I would never forgive myself if something happens to her. It's also the first time she'll be away from me overnight. I guess it will be nice to just have me and DH in the bed...
Did I miss anything?
