Re: gogo kidz travelmate???

Believe me, this is a great idea!! I just went away with DD and needed to bring the carseat. I didn't want to spend the $90 on it, so DH and I rigged up the carseat to a rolling cart that came with a cooler. We attached it by clipping the LATCH clips together and the tether strap to the others. It worked beautifully. The only problem was that the car seat was too wide to roll through the aisle on the plane, and unclipping the seat was not easy to do quickly. If the gogo thing unhooks easily, it is probably a good way to go if you travel alot. Although, it still will not solve the problem of fitting the seat down the aisle.

Actually, here is a site that has something to attach the carseat to your carry-on luggage. This one is only $29.95. Maybe I'll try this next time I fly.

Re: gogo kidz travelmate???

it is worth its weight in gold.
just traveled w/ DD and it was a life saver.. we bought her a seat- and we checked the stroller in my DH's golf bag along with a bunch of beach towels we needed for the trip. This way- all we had to bring w/ us was DD diaper bag (which we actually used DH's backpack w/ a changing pad in it) and one tote bag filled with our reading materials and some more toys.. it was a great, lightweight, and easy way to make it throught he airport.

edited to add- I got it online for $75- so look around- still pricey- but a little better than $90

Re: gogo kidz travelmate???

we have it and its great. i waited for a 20% off from BBB and used it there. we have used it more than 10 times and very happy with it. makes carrying the car seat a blessing and doubles as a stroller for the airport. easy to put together. i was bothered by the cost because its plastic wheels and a strap but it makes traveling easy.

that's funny, I just asked my dad (aka mr. handy) if he can help me rig something up. It looks like it's inline skate wheels, with a handle.

We don't travel that much that's why I don't want to spend the $$ but I really like the idea.
