Godparents
How are you planning on asking them to be godparents or how have you done it? I am waiting to ask until after the baby is born but not sure how to do it. Any suggestions?

For DS we asked them very calmly to "do us a favor". Both said "sure" and we replied, "would you be joey's godmomma/godfather?" The Godmother thought I was asking her to get me something from the supermarket (which is where she was going) and the godfather was floored. It was very funny.
For this DC, we had already told SIL she was the godmother to our next kid. We asked BIL (her new husband), again, very calmly out of the blue in the middle of a normal conversation.

We will ask after the baby is born and probably just invite them over for dinner/coffee and ask them....
Maybe get them a frame or something that says "I love my Godmother/Godfather"

planning on waiting until baby is here. when each comes for a visit, we will stick a little card with their name on it in the bassinet with the baby. (like the baby is trying to give them a card) and inside it will say "will you be my godmother/father?" love, baby's name

This time around we are going to wait until after the baby is born. Dh and I are not agreeing on godparents for DC #2 so we are going to wait it out.

With DD#2 I kind of just told my BFF...she came to the hospital to meet Annabel & I asked her if she wanted to hold her goddaughter. totally took her off guard - it was a great moment

My best friend is going to be the babies godmother, she has known this since we were about 12 years old We still have to ask DH's older brother to be the godfather. Not sure if we'll just ask or do something cute.

We asked each god parent over the phone (my SIL lives in MD and my cousin works like 80 hours a week). We wanted to wait until after he was born but we had some family pressure to do it before time.

We are asking each on their birthdays (both are coming up). In addition to their birthday present, we are giving them a framed photo of the sono with a little speech bubble that says "Will you be my Godmother/Godfather?"

My cousin had the christening after Christmas so she gave them both Christmas tree ornaments that said #1 godmother/father
A co worker got godparent picture frames for them

The godmother for my dd is my twin sister and she will be the godmother for this baby too. I didnt ask its a given she was going to be it for the godfather I leave that up to my husband to decide. First time around we were all out to dinner and he asked his best friend. With this baby my dh asked his friend WITH OUT ME EVEN KNOWING. He is very lucky i like all of his friends or there would have been a big problem
