Godparent gifts??
Did anyone give the baby's godparents a gift on the Christening day? Hayley's is this Sunday and I just thought of this...

Nope. It was gift enough for them that they were picked.
They are well taken care of by Jack on their birthdays, christmas and Mother's /Father's Day.

Yes, for my son's godparents we gave my cousin (who is the godfather) a hand painted martini glass as a "cheers" to him for being the godfather, I bought a really pretty sterling silver angel windchime for my SIL (the godmother) that had a really pretty saying about godmothers.

Yes, we got our daughters Godparents beautiful frames at Thingsremembered.com so they can put a picture of that special day in it.

I got Molly's godmother a Coach bag and her godfather "The Godfather" on DVD...he always wanted the collection and we thought it was it would be a funny tie-in.

I agree it is certainly an honor just to be asked, but Aidan did also get his Godparents tokens of appreciation.

me and dh were godparents and got gifts. We come from and irish family so i got a claddah bracelet and he got celtic cuff links. Totally not expected but very thoughtful. However, i also heard godparents not getting gifts...totally up to you. I don''t think they would be thinking they are getting something.
