I don't know I have been a Godmother twice and never received a gift. Dh is a Godfather to two children also and he has not received any gifts either.

Both got customized frames with a saying on one side and pic. on the other side (if I remember correctly). Godfather- The Godfather DVD collection. Godmother-Bracelt engraved with the saying Bella Zietta.
As a godmother I received a frame and my husband received a business card holder.
eta: also gave godmother a corsauge (sp) Theresa, you know I am a horrible speller

I have been godmother 3 times, DH has 2 god children (can't remember what he got if anything).
For one I didnt receive anything.
The others I got a glass "box" with a plaque on it saying #1 Godmother (kinda looks like a Things Remembered item)
I also received a picture frame that says My GodChild in it and has a picture of my nephew in his Christening outfit.

I don't know. I guess I always thought being chosen Godparent was the gift. I suppose you could do a frame with picture of them and baby at the Christening.

I did, cause I wanted to.
I gave both a frame w/DD christening pic and the godmother was my sis, a swarovski bangle and the godfather, The Godfather t-shirt, he thought that was funny.

Haa, I didn't think it was that big of a deal.. they are such wonderful people, and I feel honored..
I am having my 2 cousins be Sofia's godfathers.. so it would ne nice to show our appreciation ..
thats what I thought at least..

When I was a godparent I got an Ipod port and case. the godfather for ap portable DVD player. Not really sentimental, but useful.
