i usually go to personal creations or something of that nature and do a personalized ornament with the childs picture.

How old is the godmother, does she live close? Can you set up a date for them, like a gift certificate for her and your daughter to get their nails done?
Since it is my siblings it easier, and I just give them something that i would have bought for them.

what about an Origami owl locket? A friend of mine got one from her godchild and it looked really cute! It's basically a clear locket that you can fill with different little charms that mean something to the child and godmother.
