Glucose test - empty stomach?
I forget - do you have to be on an empty stomach for this test?

Yes, I had an empty stomach..I made sure to make my appointment very early in the morning

My script for the test said "non fasting", but once I got to the lab, they told me I had to be fasting (which I was anyway, thank god).

Every doctor/lab has different instructions for this, so I would check with yours to see what they want.

mine said no need to fast, only after drink, then nothing by mouth.

I didnt have to fast with my first pregnancy. With this baby it IS a fasting glucose test. All doctors do it differently just give a quick call to double check . Good luck

I agree! Mine said I could eat and I failed the 1st one, then didn't eat for the 3 hr and passed!

When I got my script I specifically asked this and she said that yes you should eat a little something for breakfast (wouldn't recommed a bagel though. lol) because sometimes if you don't eat it could spike your blood sugar levels.. I ate pb on toast and went early in the morning so that I could pig out later..
