Giving Birth

I think this whole time I've kind of been in denial that I have to somehow get this baby outside my body.

Now that I'm getting closer I'm starting to freak out a little. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Giving Birth

I feel the same way. Giving birth has always been a fear of mine. I am scared to see how i'm going to be those last few weeks.

I'm actually still banking on the fact that they'll come out with a laser surgery whereby the baby magically appears beside me as if from no where.

Re: Giving Birth

I have been FREAKING out about this for weeks. To the point where DH won't let me watch Baby Story anymore bc I wind up balling. Ever since I found out my baby is huge I have been petrified.

I know people do it everyday so its probably not THAT bad, but I still can't help being scared about it.

Being scared is normal. How could you not be? Fear of the unknown is what really scares us isn't? although it's bad, how bad could it really be if people give birth every minute of the day?
The reward is worth it a million times over again!!!

Re: Giving Birth

Make that early December/late November!

Yes, this is starting to scare me too--it has all along really. I don't read the birth stories on here (sorry--I just worry that something in them will freak me out), and I hadn't touched the labor section in my books, though now that everything is getting closer, I have started to read those sections.

It's very scary, and I keep hoping it's one of those things that everyone tells me is horrible (like mammograms), but I'll find it not as horrible as I've built it up to be in my mind. Unfortunately in this case, I have a sneaking suspicion this is no mammogram.
