Giving a baby antibiotics - question?
My DD is almost 8 months old. She has a double ear infection and was put on liquid antibiotics. She gets 1tsp 2x/day.
I took out the syringe (or whatever you call it) from the baby medicine tote we received at her shower. It won't push the medicine out that is left in the bottom of the syringe.
Does someone have a recommendation on how to give this type of medicine to an infant? I want to make sure she gets the full dosage each time, so she starts to feel better.

the syringe you have may not be working properly.
This sounds silly but this is why I get my kids medicine at Target.. they give you a syringe with their scripts..
IMO, the syringe is the best way to get her to take it.

The pharmacy should be able to give you one.
I get mine at Stop and Shop pharmacy and always ask and they give a good dropper.

do you have one like this? or the dropper? The dropper always leaves a little in the there. But this one is great and so much easier to dispense. but I have to do it a little at a time b/c it squirts right to the back of her throat, even when I do it into her cheek

This is what we have. the medicine sits in the bottom where you can't place the pressure.

I would, but she hasn't been finishing her bottles b/c she doesn't feel well and I want to make sure she gets it all.
