Girls with Tipped Uterus
I've read that its harder to find the heartbeat at first...anyone have this experience???

i know that the sono tech had to move the wand around a lot to get all the measurements she needed at 8 and 12 weeks, but it was just a little uncomfortable, that's all (it was an internal sono).
my dr. didn't check for the HB with the doppler until i was 12 weeks and she didn't have a problem finding it at all.

Did they know you had a tipped uterus? were they alarmed that they couldn't hear it!!! How many weeks were you...
Sorry for the 8 million questions. I have my firset appt at 8 weeks and am hoping they'll hear the heartbeat with no problem

I was 7 weeks and had a M/C before and I refused to leave until I saw or heard a heartbeat they tried to convince me it was b/c of my tilted uterus but I wasnt having it so they did a quick sono and thenI got to see it I felt so much better

i have a titled uterus, but no one has mentioned it once since my first visit... there hasnt seem to be any problems finding the heartbeat or anything else so far...

Yes, at first, but then your uterus goes to the "right" spot (mine tilted around 20 weeks) and we had no problems finding it.

Same. The heartbeat in the beginning in done internally so it wasn't a problem. By the time they did it externally around 11 weeks there was no problem at all. I never had a problem with my at home doppler either.

They never did mine internally they used the doppler and it didnt work with that until I was about 15 wks

I'm so glad you posted this. I'm going back next week at 10 weeks and would have totally freaked if I hadn't read this and they had a problem hearing the heartbeat!
