Girls who are IR
I know this question has been asked before, but I need some help again.
1 - If you were on metformin, when did you stop?
2 - Did you switch to another medication to control your IR?
I am getting VERY different opinions from two different doctors as to if I should continue with the metformin, stop it entirely, or switch to glyburide.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! I am soooo stressed over this
BTW, I am 14w1d.

Re: Girls who are IR
I was actually wondering this myself. I'm 30 weeks tomorrow ( ) and I've been on the Metformin for the duration of my pregnancy. My OB, my RE and my endocrinologist all thought it was a good idea in order to decrease my chances of GD.
There are conflicting reports about how safe it is...but it seems that most things I read have it labeled as Category B.

Re: Girls who are IR
I stopped it at around ten weeks. I think I was supposed to wait till 12 weeks but I was dry heaving from the smell of the pills...no way I could swallow them.
