Girl clothing question
I just booked an outdoor mini photo shoot for dd's birthday this fall. I'd like for her to wear something seasonal - I'm thinking brown corduroy skirt or navy wool, thick sweater or swing coat - something really atmospheric for fall. The problem is - the only place I can find what I had in mind is Janie & Jack, and I'm not sold on it and the price is steep. Any thoughts on other stores/sites I can check out that may have these types of items? Thanks!

I know you're familiar with zulily but that's what comes to mind first. They have very seasonal stuff. Then my second thought is Gap, old navy.

Re: Girl clothing question
Thanks. I'm hesitant to do zulily because most stuff is nOn-returnable, and it takes so long anyways that if it doesn't work out, I'm in a time crunch (that's what happened this past year with her Christmas dress!)!

Girl clothing question
I'm happy you posted because we are thinking of doing DD's bday shoot outside in October :) But I already have a pretty dress in mind, so maybe I will do studio shots again...

Re: Girl clothing question
The last two years I've gotten DD1 coats from Penelope Mack and I love them. The brand can be either very trendy or very classic but with a twist and they come with a matching hat. I got one from Macy's and one from Zulily but they're pretty easy to come by so I'm sure Amazon, Ebay, etc would have a decent selection. That's what my girls will be wearing for our family pics this year if all goes as planned!
