hearing this makes me feel so old! i cant imagine being 7 and having an iphone  i dont want my babies to ever grow up
not sure how much you are looking to spend....
i gave my niece a pandora bracelet at that age, with 2 charms. its been 4 years and i continue to give her charms for her birthday. its my special gift with her and she loves it
maybe american girl?

This also makes me really sad. 
Do you know anything about the 7 year old? Is she active? Into arts and crafts? Is she brainy?
They have some cool art stuff out there. Like Alex brand has my first sewing kit and stuff like that. They also have this sidewalk chalk thing that attaches to your bike so if you ride, it creates designs based on your movement. There are so many puzzles and board games. You could also get her a magazine subscription or a movie basket with candy and dvd's or a netflix subscription or something like that.

Thanks all! I ended up getting crafting stuff. Love the pandora bracelet idea!
Funny, I was also debating the Alex first sewing kit. Love that bicycle thing. Will be using these ideas for the holidays.
