Gift for new nanny

I just went back to work so by the time Christmas comes around the nanny will have been with us for less than a month. Any ideas for a Christmas gift? I know protocol is one week's pay but since she just started I thought that was a bit much.

I would do like a $50-$100 ( depends how much she is making a week) gift card for mall, Borders. Maybe a little gift too, like a scarf, gloves, socks.
I worked as a nanny for 3 years and in my first year I got a gift card, but wasn't expecting anything, so it was really nice and unexpected.

I just went back to work on 12/1 so same situation. We will prob give her a gift certificate to a nice restaurant in her town so she can go out to dinner with her husband. Not a fan of giving cash!
