Gift for New Mom
A friend of mine had her second baby last week..I am going to see this week and while I have gifts for the new baby and big brother I wanted to get her something too...she went through three miscarriages to get to this point so it was a long road.
I should know the answer to this seen as I have been a new mom too...any ideas as I am blanking.

We got a really cute personalized pillow as a gift when DD was born. It has all her stats on it, and is such a cute keepsake. Here's a pic. It was ordered from Bundle - they have a store in Soho, or you can get it here: www.bundlenyc.com Image Attachment(s):

Mmmm...maybe food or a GC for take out....she is BF so wine drinking is very limited...she has a cleaning person I think...I might do the food thing...now have to figure out which restaurant...thanks everyone!!

After I had Holly my friend visited and said "I know everyone is focusing on the baby so I wanted to focus on you instead". I'm a shoe lover so she got me a gc for DSW. I stalked the website for weeks to find the perfect pair and I seriously loved the thought.

This!!! I was constantly hungry because I was nursing. I ate more than when I was pregnant.

I like the DSW - or other store that your friend is into.
Maybe a clothes store - after a baby, she may need some new clothes in different sizes/fits, etc.
I also like the nail place idea or even for a massage. I had terrible back pain after my DD due to bending over breastfeeding and picking her up and holding her so much.
A gift card for a cleaning service would be appreciated.
My sister got me some fancy toiletries which was nice.
Another friend made us food, which was sooo nice - a big container of chicken cutlets, mashed cauliflower and gravy and a big container of fresh pesto we just had to make pasta for.

Oppps! Sorry, totally read that wrong.
What about a gift certificate for a post partum massage? I had the "Rookie Mom Rubdown" at Bliss after having DD and it was fabulous. It's part wrap (to reduce tummy swelling) part massage, and part heaven.
