GHI- Coverage for Intralipids/Infusions?
Hi,
I'm thinking about getting a full immune testing panel done or just skipping it and going straight to intraplids. Does anyone know if GHI covers intralipds, infusions or both? I have GHI with the city. Thanks.

You have to call and ask for someone who feals with HOME therapy, if you ask the pharmacy they will say no..its considered home therapy...

if you have no known immune issue i wouldnt go straight to intralipids without the panel. otherwise you will have no way of knowing whether you need intralipids nor will there be any way to monitor whether they are effective. so even if they are covered it seems like overmedicating if you havent determined the actual issue.

Yes...I know that you are absolutely right. Someone just put that out there to me as a suggestion if I did not want to spend the money on the testing. They said that some just skip the testing and just do the intraplids as they did not see the intralipids causing any harm. However...your point is well made and I will in all likelihood just get the testing.
