GFE totally different than your HUD?
I just got my HUD and saw the closing cost estimate went up like 5k.
Is this typical???

A GFE to HUD can vary depending on different factors.
Why don't you post what items on the GFE are different. Don't go by total amount. Just post the line number (usually between 800-1300) and the difference between the GFE and HUD.
That would help.

Don't worry mine seemed that way also. It includes some costs that the sellers typically pay. We didn't have paynthat much at closing....

I am not positive but I feel like there is only a certain % that it can differ. Maybe a mortgage person could help with this one.

yes it can differ. my mortgage person overestimated a lot of stuff to err on the side of caution...
he quote me $11,000 and we ended up paying $7400.
when looking through your GFE, you have to make sure the mortgage lender is accounting for enough taxes and all the fees..
maybe he or she only accounted for 3 months of taxes but it should be 4/5 months worth..
maybe he or she did not estimate enough for title and insurance..
stuff like that..
