getting SO irritated
so i get that i have to go to an outside lab for bloodwork and pay $18n each time. fine. i am lucky that all prenantal visits are free, great. i get that the AFP is only done by one lab in the entire country so that's another $18. ok. and my dr's office is stupid, so they ran a second test for fifths disease instead of having me check my history. whatever.
but i was NEVER told that my doctor's office uses an outside service for sonograms - the techs, apparently, don't work for the dr's, they work for madonna in jericho. lovely. this means i get charged ANOTHER $18 per sono. and i've had 4 so far.
W T F??? is it just me or does this seem like something the dr's office should have addressed WHEN I ASKED THEM WHAT I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR????? i LOVE my doctor but the staff there are morons. there is just no other way to put it.

My doctor actually sends me to Madonna for sonos he does not have the techs in his office and I have to pay a copay each visit to Madonna

I find my co-pays to be very random....
The first visit: $20 copay. the pre-natal work-up blood work (HIV, cholesterol, blah blah) I had a co-pay. The ultrascreen blood work had NONE.
the first sono-copay... 2nd and the ultrascreen had none. The AFP had a co-pay.... It's all so random....
I consider myself lucky whenever anything comes back w/o a co-pay!

That has got to be so annoying. I never paid for anything when I was pg...office visits, sonos, bloodwork....
