Getting SO frustrated ...

I have literally tried every diet in the books and none have worked. My will power sucks which doesn't help. My mom is thin, so she's been trying to help me. We figured out that at my current weight (Chat Icon ) I should be able to have 1500 calories a day to lose. Well, I have been at this for almost a week now, and I have gained 2 pounds!!!! I just don't get it. I try to make sure I have a protein at every meal & all I drink is water. I know I have to step up the exercising, but I figured from what I WAS eating to what I am eating now I would have at least seen some loss....

Second, I think you need to give yourself more than 1 week. It takes time for your body to adjust. Are you exercising? If so, how much?

Thanks for the hugs. I know I need more than a week, but with the sheer amount of weight I need to lose I really figured I would see some results. I really have not exercised much this week, other than normal everyday walking. I just received the Slim in 6 DVD in the mail yesterday, so I am going to start that, plus I also re-enrolled with WW..

Give it more time and up your exercise. I am sure within a few weeks you will start to get some results. Chat Icon

Sometimes there is a lag-keep watching your calories and I think you will see something soon.

Don't beat yourself up on exercise, you can add more as you go along. I know in WW they tell us to start adding exercise around week 5 or soChat Icon

That's what I had remembered too, so that's why I didn't go nuts with the exercising yet. I really hope the numbers on the scale move soon... getting very bummed...

It is so frustrating.

What I would recommend is WW. I have tried all sorts of diets before but this has been working for me.

It does not come off quickly (well for me it did not) but it is really a lifestyle change that I think most people can manage, which is why it works so well for so many.

The thing I find hardest @ eating well is sticking with it even when you are not seeing the results you want.

Stick to your guns and you WILL lose.

Thanks... I did rejoin WW this morning, but just the online one. Do you go to meetings?

I agree - WW is the way to go.

I don't stay for the meetings, I just don't have the time, but I do get weighed in once a week.
