Getting rid of tiny black bugs on a houseplant

I don't know what they are, they are very tiny but they seem to be contained to a plant I have in the bathroom. Has anyone had this problem and if so, do you know what they are and what is a remedy? I hate to toss the plant but I watered it yesterday and I stirred them up I guess. It's not a overwhelming amount but they are there.

Those are probably fungus gnats. I'm betting you keep the plant too moist - that's what they are drawn to.

There are yellow rectangle sticky traps you can buy for this, lay them on the surface of the soil.

And cut back on the watering.

I never heard of fungus gnats but that has to be what they are. That makes complete sense too, thank you! The pot does not have drainage but it's a philodendron so I wasn't that worried since they are very hearty plants and can sustain well without too much or too little water. But probably bc the bathroom gets moisture from showers and such the pot is not working, even though I love how a plant thrives in the bathroom bc of the moisture. I'm going to switch it out.
