Getting hair highlighted..

(I need to be reminded) Is it okay at 16 weeks?

I can't stand the grays anymore!!

I waited until I was into my 2nd tri to get it highlighted again.
I went at 14 weeks and then again at 26. I'm going to squeeze 1 more appt before this baby comes out!!

i was told that highlighting is actually fine because it doesnt touch the roots; as opposed to coloring your hair which goes directly onto your scalp / roots

Yes, it's fine at 16 weeks.

Some doctor's say to wait until after the 1st trimester, but mine always said it's okay even in the first since the bleach doesn't actually touch your scalp.

Oh yeah, I was getting mine done from the beginning!

Yes! I got mine done as soon as I came out of the first trimester. I talked to the dr. about it and he said that hair dye these days are not the same as they used to be. So, he said I could get my hair done in the first trimester but if I felt comfortable to wait, then wait.

Should be fine. As the others said, highlighting is probably the safest since you have the foils. I did regular coloring already and am going back end of the month - same reason, cannot take the grays!!
