Getting a pedi makes me nervous
Is there any places they should not rub etc?
I went for a pedi and literally would not allow her to rub my feet or in that area
I guess after our mc I became super careful with the reflexology and pressure points -
Looking for feedback I love pedi but so nervous to enjoy it

When I asked my OB about the safety of pedicures, he just said to make sure the place was ventilated. In the meantime, a pedi is what I was doing the day before I developed issues with preterm labor at 22 weeks. Was the pedi to blame? Who knows............ but I wasn't willing to take any chances. I didn't go for another pedi till 28wks and made SURE they did not massage my ankles. You never know ...... you hear people who go for pedis and have no issues and swear they're fine to get - but you don't wanna be the odd man (ok, woman) out who DOES have an issue. Then again, I spent the last 35wk4d paranoid as anything 
You can still enjoy your pedis... just tell them to avoid rubbing your ankles. Perhaps Andy would have a greater insight since he knows all about pressure points and such.

Trust me, I blamed a pedi for outlast mc
But your right. So many pego 's go and no issues
I am hoping for the best, I barely let get rub anything
Just basically my legs
No bottom of feet or ankles
Good idea I Will ask Andy next week :)

Let us know what you find out; I got a hot stone pedi previous to a m/c and it definitely made me think about that pedi...

honestly i wouldnt think twice about getting a pedi. its perfectly fine. there is absolutely no reason to think a pedi had anything to do with any pregnancy loss or issue. the only risk i know of is that massages in general could lead to dislodging of blood clots. but if that happened youd be in much more trouble than just staying pregnant. there are people who say reflexology massage can lead to mc or preterm labor but from what i remember its very hard to do - like you cant just massage like normal, someone would have to be trained specifically on how to do it.

I'm going to ask my acupuncturist this week, my mind is all over the place. I am 5 weeks today and have absolutely no symptoms which gets me nervous.
Def trying to stay positive

My RE said absolutely go get a pedi, a massage whatever I wanted. I got my pedi and told her to massage lightly.

So I asked my acupuncturist. No top or bottom of feet and no ankles. He said a pedi wouldn't do the damage we expect but stay away from the 1hoyr reflexology massages

I just texted him  I stopped by like 2 months ago. I may have to start going back in a few weeks. Something tells me after the baby is here I'll want some mandated quiet time!
