Gestational Diabetes

I failed but not terrinbly - I failed the 1 hour by 15 points and the 2 hour part by 5. I am so mad at my body. Checking my blood sugar regularly is going to be a real pain in the arse.

I have been checking it occasionally b/c I suspected it was coming and it's never been above 120. I don't usually drink 400 calories of pure sugar within 10 minutes and sit on my butt on a regular basis.

i failed the 3 hour by 2 points!!!!!
I have to say though- on my bday I had some chocolate and my blood sugar after about 1 1/2 hours WAS high
as long as you stay away from white flour & sugar you'll be ok..

I failed the the 3 hour by 7 points!!!!!

My sugars in the am are out of control even with me seeing a nutritionist and Im doing everything by the book-

I know I am going to have to take insulin, 1 shot at night to control the am sugar, the rest of the day is perfect.

I have to be in the hospital for 2 days on an insulin drip BEFORE I just go on insulin so I am assuming that will be Oct 23rd. my appt with dr is oct 19 but that weekend is my shower.

Yes it really really sucks checking my sugar 4x a day and eating really carefully.

I just keep saying to myself 11 more weeks till my original due date but now I think I may go earlier- GOOD- so we will see how soon.

then they said the diabetes will go away. my sugars prior to pg was always 99 so they dont forsee a problem and Ive only gained 26 lbs so far so be easy to get rid of.
