I like the pouches bc they are convenient when we are on the go. I don't think they taste gross at all. I just think it's upsetting how there are so many food recalls lately. Pouches, tuna, ice cream, etc. it seems like nothing is safe to eat anymore. We should be able to feed our children and not have to worry. I have those Gerber pouches but not the dates recalled. Thanks for the info.

What's harsh, my reaction? It's my opinion. Pouch anything is nasty. There have been numerous recalls on most pouch stuff from Apple sauce to Capri sun. I'm not even close to crunchy and this pouch stuff is gross. If I can't see it, we're not eating it. Again, Jmho

This is NOT a flame since you cant see how it came across.
The way you worded your post came across as:
"Wow, how stupid are YOU moms that are so lazy you buy pouch food. I'm the prefect mom and would NEVER give my precious child food from a pouch. Sounds like YOU are a crappy mom."
I'm NOT saying you meant that. But it came across that you were completely judgmental against moms for making a choice you would not make.

I agree. I didnt read that post like that. I read that pouches are gross and I found myself agreeing only cause I tried one the other day cause my dd didnt finish it and I almost gagged. Just cause it was nasty texture and hated eating from it LOL

Gerber organic pouch recall
Why were they recalled? Baby food in any container has a pretty lengthy shelf life-- so something with the July 2016 and expiration date was probably consumed a while ago.

If I recall what the news brief said, the pouches had a package defect that could promote spoilage, and that in some cases, pouches are bloated and the product tastes or smells off.
