Re: generic HCG vs ovidrel
it doesnt matter. one isnt better than the other. my only experience is that ovidrel is prefilled and HCG isnt so you have to prep the inject yourself. this is good if you need to do a partial trigger, like 5000iu instead of 10000iu. but otherwise it doesnt make much of a difference IMO.
not sure on costs my insurance covered both for the most part. i think ovidrel might be a higher copay.

Re: generic HCG vs ovidrel
I know that I pay $40 for ovidrel with GHI. The generic HCG would be less, but I prefer to deal with the prefilled syringe. Less stress!

Re: generic HCG vs ovidrel
It's the same but hcg needs to be mixed like the pp mentioned. They were going to give me hcg when my insurance co was being dumb and couldn't fill my ovidrel. I think the hcg was going to be $65 oop and the ovidrel was $109 so definitely cheaper.

Re: generic HCG vs ovidrel
I have always used Novarel (which I think is the generic) - it only costs me $10 through insurance so to me, it's great! And of course does what it is supposed to do

I just did this shot last night, no it wasn't premixed, but it was fairly simple. 2 ml's to all the powder, than just draw it back up and right into the tush.

This is what I take too. It cost me $30 and Insurance covered rest. There was an issue and I had to originally pay $150 out of pocket, but Walgreens reimbursed me once they figured it all out.
