Gel Manicure ?
I got my first gel manicure on yesterday and today I have lifting on 2 nails.
Is this common? I am going to go back tomorrow to complain but I wasnt sure what to expect.
I have had acrylic in the past and never had this issue.

My nails go to almost three WEEKS without any lifting.. DEF go back.. It wasn't done properly!

I am starting my 3rd week with this last manicure and there is no sign of chips or lifting. They defiantely did it wrong if its lifting after 2 days.

I just came back from them fixing the 3 nails that peeled. She said it was from my citified being dry.. I will probably try a new place next time...

The first time I had gel manicure... it was bubbly and started lifting too! Had to go back 3 days in a row for her to re-do... very frustrating!
It's really because the place did not understand how to apply the UV Gel. I've been going to other places... fab job... 3 wks...same manicure. :)

UV gel and a gel manicure are COMPLETELY different..
Not to sound stupid but what is the difference? The manicure I did get used the UV light that I had to put my hands in inbetween each coat...
It is peeling again...I am going to try somewhere new...I am thinking that maybe it was too thick and that is why. Plus the color is very streaky..

Yes, they use a UV light with both but UV Gel is acrylic and they brush on that same acryilic-like substance on your nails, whereas a gel manicure is using gel nail polish and using the UV light to cure it

Ok. I did get the Gel Polish... I just took my acrylics off a few months ago and I figured I would try out the gel polish.
