It can take a few days to really adjust to the new eating habits and schedule.

Are you just diet controlled or insulin as well?

When your numbers are high, have you tried doing something active like taking a walk? That can lower your blood sugar, just walking around for 15-20 minutes.

Which numbers are high? Fasting? After meals?

I am just diet controlled for now, hopefully nothing more will be needed. I did not try walking around, I will try that. Its funny how you all give great advice and no one at the dr's office told me this, lol

My morning fasting number has been high every day so far.

Thanks everyone for the hugs!!

The dietician is who let me know about doing a little activity when your numbers are high.

I know this might sound odd--but if your morning fasting number is high---are you having a snack RIGHT before bed?

Believe it or not, this was one of the main reasons my fasting numbers were continually high in the morning. It was because I wasn't eating a good snack before bed...and at night your body will go into a sort of "starvation" mode as you sleep, and then it causes your sugar levels to rise when you wake up.
