GD?
What determines if you get GD? Genetics? Diet? Random selection?
TIA!

Re: GD?
i am pretty sure it has alot to do with both genetics and diet I was prediabetic anyway before I got pg but my mom has type II so it is most likely both but GD can sometimes be treated with diet I take insulin but it is not always required

Re: GD?
it's associated with all of the typical type II warning signs.... genetics, obesity, diet......
I have marginal genetics and I'm overweight... hence the mild case of GD (my diet is very good, so it's not really a contributing factor)
honestly, I told the OB that I would fail the glucose tests before I even took them. I knew.
There's a part of me that thinks that I don't have GD... that I actually just have a super-mild case of type II that wasn't diagnosed... I won't find that info out until after the Scone is out of the oven!
