gate for a wide opening
DS is getting mobile. I would like to keep the dog (and his hair ) out of my den so DS can have free reign in there. The opening is 72 inches wide. This is an opening that we will be walking through often, so I am thinking about a gate that is easily opened and closed. Does anyone have any recommendations?
TIA!

We have a very wide gate between our living room and dining room.
It is the "Sure & Secure Custom-Fit Gate" by Summer
It has a door and works great!

Thanks!

To be honest with you, for the life of me I can't remember where we got the gate. Which leads me to believe that DH might have ordered it online somewhere. If he can remember later I will let you know!

we also have this gate...
I absolutely LOVE it! I like that its mesh and NOT hard wood/metal. I love that the door can easily be opened without having to climb over. its very solid and secure. we also have another one going in front of our tv area and around the steps too... hard to explain but its been a godsend. We also have a dog and its great! We have received many compliments on this and it was by far one of our greatest "baby" purchases, though its really more for the dog
ETA: we got it, and the extensions, in BRU

We got a long one at BRU, they sell extensions for it too. It's by Regalo.

We have the one pictured below. It's great because it's wide (You can add extensions as needed) and it's high...for the cat not to jump over even though he figured out how to squeeze himself between the gates Image Attachment(s):

I saw this one online and was thinking it might be a good choice. I think I will have to let DH make the final choice here... there are too many options!

We have this same one and we got it at BRU. It is perfect (although DS has somehow now figured out that the door has velcro that can be undone to "escape" through ). We could not figure out how he got out one day then we heard it "ripping!!" . He is over 2 so we don't really use it to contain him anymore, just the mess of toys that have accumulated in the play room
