I didn't-but, I wasn't too worried about it getting treated roughly.
Not sure if you have a fancy stroller-if so, you might want to. I didn't find it necessary for my snap n go

We got a bag, and the bag now has some holes in it, so I can't imagine what my stoller would look like if we didn't.
